They provide an opportunity to get off the fast moving, dizzying merry-go-round on which we all find ourselves now and then (though for some of us it's more "now" than "then"). In any case, we hope that when you do one of these exercises, you will be able to regain your balance again before getting back on.

So if you're feeling a bit dizzy from life and stressed out from all you have to do, sit back, put your feet up, and enjoy one of these stress busters. You'll find you are less tense when they are done with a Take-a-Break than you were before you started, especially if you do them with a sense of fun. In fact, in many ways Take-a-Breaks are simply variations on relaxation exercises.
