Eli's Mother Adds Her Voice to the Arcata Interfaith Choir for Songs of Comfort and Hope Return to Planning a Fitting Celebration of a Young Man's Life or Transformation Through Loss and Crisis
The Arcata Interfaith Gospel Choir sang several songs at the service and later at the beach house, where lunch was served. Betsy, Eli's mother, in the brown dress and holding a song sheet, joined the choir. Several people commented on how unusual it was that a mother of a child who had recently died would be able to sing in the service. But each of us experiences grief in a different way and this is how she was able to get through those times, surrounded by her friends in the choir. © 2006 Support4Change |
