Display of Pictures Return to Planning a Fitting Celebration of a Young Man's Life or Transformation Through Loss and Crisis
Sharon Maxwell, brother of Eli's father, spent many hours preparing a display of pictures from every stage of Eli's life. It was a fitting tribute to his life, yet made us all aware of how short his life had been. This was the first panel of five she created. Other people brought their own memory boards and it was wonderful to see how his many friends remembered him. It is painful for family to assemble pictures of a loved one, especially when that person has not been given a chance to live a long and full life. Even then, pictures bring tears. But those tears are healing and remind us of our connection with the loved one who will now only be a memory, able to be recalled in picture and story. © 2006 Support4Change |
