There will be no snow this winter where I live in Southern California, though I wouldn’t mind if it rained a great deal and eased our drought.
But I have lived where snow covers the ground and when I look at this picture I can almost smell the crisp air and feel the crunch of snow underfoot.
In keeping with the Step Into Pictures theme, I encourage you to imagine that you, and someone with whom you are having problems, are able to enter this scene well dressed for the weather. You decide to brush the snow off a bench and sit down.
What might happen if you turned to that person and began to talk about the difficulties you two have had? Might the atmosphere of this place help you think of a different way to approach your relationship in the world outside the picture?
Instead of that person, perhaps you would like to invite a good friend or relative to enter the picture with you. What would you talk about?
